Circle+Stacks+Groupings

Does the environment influence the rituals or do the rituals influence the environment? The way I it as it is a mixture of both. Walking around campus we found many examples of circles, stacks, and groupings. In picture A the stack-circle is for structure, on both sides of a hallway in the EUC. This circle-stak holds up the building, but columns on both sides of the hallway dictates where one is to walk, in between the two rows. Picture B is also in the EUC. It is a circle that is the very entrance of te building. When one sees the building from the outside, one thing that draws attention to this building is the circular front of it. Picture C is a picture of groupings in front of the Sullivan building. The ritual that takes place in this environment would primarily be walking or traveling, so the grouping grid environment was designed for people to be able to walk through and travel.
